Innovating from the design stage with a focus on sustainability

We develop new products following the ecodesign or Value Sensitive Design methodology, which allows us to objectively evaluate the impact of the solutions. We apply this methodology in the early stages of development, ensuring that our product design incorporates sustainability and value criteria from the outset.

Optimisation

We design recyclable and sustainable products

Together with our customers, we create designs that optimise processes and improve their competitiveness, adapting each solution to their needs. 

  • We apply life cycle assessment (LCA) methodology to promote circular plastics.
  • We offer technical support to customers in recyclability assessment.
  • We identify strategic European Union research projects.
  • We guarantee that 100% of our products are recyclable and free of substances of very high concern.
  • We apply this methodology to all products under development, including the new E-LOOP materials for mechanical and chemical recycling.

Development of ABS with features for the electric mobility industry.

ABS EMI5G - SMART5G

Started in 2021
New materials for optimising urban mobility through energy management and 5G applications. Collaboration: 1 technology centre and 2 companies.

R+D Green: RABSPPAUTO

Started in 2024
Study of paint removal from ABS and PP waste found in end-of-life vehicles to increase recyclability. Collaboration: 2 companies 

GrABS

Started in 2025
Recovery of new recycled ABS, ABS/PC, PC/ABS and PC grades for high-added-value automotive applications. Collaboration: 1 technology centre and 4 companies.

PC/ABS FR PFAS free

Started in 2024
Development of halogen- and PFAS-free flame-retardant materials.
