Committed to our community: local well-being
At ELIX Polymers, we want to have a positive impact in our surrounding environment and actively contribute to the well-being of the local communities where we’re present. That’s why we participate in various initiatives to give back and promote the socio-economic activity of the area. With this goal in mind, we focus our partnerships in four main areas: education, training, care, and community well-being, working together to strengthen and improve the quality of life of those around us.
We participate in volunteer opportunities
We encourage girls to pursue careers in science and technology through the “Inspira STEAM” project, where members of our team volunteer to provide guidance and inspire future STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Mathematics) professionals. We also participate in the URV Foundation’s “Reto experimenta” (Experiment Challenge), to spark an interest in science among secondary-school students. Our commitment includes financial aid, student sponsorship and prize sponsorship.
We’re committed to young talent with a vision for the future
Our work-study (Formación Dual) and professional internship programmes provide the community with training opportunities, especially in the technical field, through scholarships. We’ve established agreements with various training centres in Tarragona.
We work with NGOs and associations
We work with various local organisations, such as CorAvant, La Muntanyeta and AFANOC Tarragona. We support community projects that improve the quality of life of people with congenital heart disease, cerebral palsy and childhood cancer, through donations and awareness-raising activities.
We support purposeful initiatives
We contribute to the well-being of the local community. We support initiatives that give back and help cover the basic needs of vulnerable families and groups.
