Sustainable Development Goals, the base of our Sustainability Strategy

To improve the overall sustainability of the company and reduce our potential impact, we defined a long-term Sustainability Strategy in 2020 and designed an action plan for 2020-2023.

Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) are an opportunity for companies to reach our sustainable development objectives for the world and for people, resolutions that affect health, the planet and human rights, to name a few. We pursue these resolutions through innovation and collaboration with our stakeholders.

The first step in defining our new Sustainability Strategy was to identify priority SDGs where we have the highest capacity to contribute

PRIORITY SDGs

To identify priority SDGs at ELIX, we organised an internal participatory session where we detected the opportunities that negative impacts present for improving sustainability within the organization's different areas of action.

In addition, we carried out an external analysis based on the following analyses:

KEY SDGs AT ELIX

To ensure healthy lives and promote well-being for people of all ages: minimising the negative health effects associated with our products.

To guarantee access to water and sanitation for all: innovative solutions for the distribution, management and efficiency of water.

To promote inclusive and sustainable economic growth, decent employment and work for all. Safe production and management of chemical products and the application of labour regulations.

To guarantee sustainable consumption and production models: to help improve the quality and efficiency of production processes in all industries.

To take urgent measures in order to combat climate change and its impacts: to create resilience and the capacity for adaption within the sector and its supply chain.

RELEVANT SDGs AT ELIX

To support the participation, contribution and success of women throughout the entire industry.

To guarantee accessible, safe, sustainable and modern energy for production, to promote the storage of renewable energy and the development of infrastructures for these purposes.
