ELIX Polymers attends the VDI “Plastics in Automotive Engineering 2017” international conference for another year

Once again, ELIX Polymers attended the VDI “Plastics in Automotive Engineering 2017” international conference, which took place at its usual location, Mannheim (Germany), on 29 and 30 March. The event was attended by leading experts in the automotive industry, who came together to discuss the latest industry news and trends.

This year, the event was attended by over 1,400 visitors and the main areas discussed were sustainability, CO2 reduction and solutions based on lighter materials for internal and external applications. Industry 4.0 and the latest technical innovations were also present once again at the discussion centre.

Over 100 exhibitors from around the world were also present, including ELIX Polymers, who presented visitors with its new portfolio of high temperature-resistant ABS and its new ABS grades for chrome-plating applications. The company was represented by Fabian Herter, Automotive Industry Manager, Alexander Lupke, Regional Sales Manager, and Pedro Abad, Automotive Business Development Manager.

“The conference was a very positive experience and there was a high level of interest in our new materials for chrome-plating and PC/ABS. This is an event that we can’t afford to miss, as we meet our key audiences of German OEMs and Tiers, where we can discuss the new trends in the automotive industry”, explained Fabian Herter.

The dates for the next VDI conference have already been announced: it will take place in Mannheim on 14 and 15 March 2018.
