ELIX Polymers presents Garcia Riera with the Safety Award to the best services company of 2018
As part of Safety Week, which took place between 24 and 26 April, ELIX Polymers presented the company Garcia Riera S.L. with the "2019 ELIX Safety Award to services companies". This company obtained the best Safety KPI (Key Performance Indicator) score and the award is a recognition of its implementation of best practices in the area of prevention as a regular collaborator at ELIX's installations.
At ELIX Polymers we ensure that safety is taken into account in all the processes, generating a working environment that promotes collaboration, is safe and sustainable. For these reasons, it is important for service companies to be committed with continuous improvement and prevention.
The criteria for choosing the winning company include aspects such as accident rates, compliance with business activity coordination (BAC) as well as the score obtained in an internal audit in terms of occupational risk prevention.
The award ceremony was attended by several representatives from Garcia Riera, regular ELIX Polymers service companies, and part of the ELIX Operations and Management team.
Xavier Garcia Perera, Manager of Garcia Riera, explained: "There is no doubt that this acknowledgement is a result of the efforts and investments we have been making for some years now in occupational risk prevention. The preventive culture is part of our DNA and we place it at the service of our clients."
On the other hand, Judith Banus, SHE & Site Services Manager, commented: "This award recognises the efforts that are being made by our collaborator Garcia Riera in the area of occupational safety.
